Forum: forums Subject: Re: Error Reported by Shorten - What does this mean?

A magic number usually some known bytes at the begining of a file and identifies its type as being shn etc.
The pop up specified that the expected magic number for a .shn file could not be found.
So yes this is a possible indication that the file may be compressed/encrypted or is not valid.

good luck
